Wrapping Up 2024: A Landmark Year for the International Sunflower Association!
As the year 2025 is starting, we are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of the sunflower community in 2024!
August: 21st International Sunflower Conference
Held in Wuyuan, Inner Mongolia, China, under the direction of Pr. Jun Zhao, the conference brought together 360 participants from 24 countries, showcasing the global strength of our field. Highlights included: 11 plenary sessions, 43 oral presentations, and 95 abstracts, covering 8 diverse themes.
This was the opportunity to celebrate sunflower researchers with Pustovoit Awards honoring:
- Prof. Philippe Debaeke(INRAE Occitanie-Toulouse France)
- Dr. Vladimir Miklic (IFVCNS Serbia)
- Dr. Begona Perez-Vich (CSIC Spain)
- Prof. Loren Rieseberg (The University of British Columbia Canada)

ISA General Assembly
A new chapter began with the renewal of our board with our new president Nicolas Langlade. We warmly welcome representatives from 16 countries, reflecting the diversity and expertise within the ISA community.
